Angela Gruber*1

Angela Gruber is the Director of IT and Digital Business at the Prince Rupert Port Authority. Angela is a manager with the Prince Rupert Port Authority with over 15 years’ experience in Information Technology. She is a senior technology and digital business leader with deep experience in governance, cyber risk, regulatory alignment, and data strategy. Angela brings a cooperative-system perspective, strong fiduciary awareness, and a track record of strengthening organizational resilience, stewardship, and oversight practices.

Angela has certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: Data Management and Analytics, and IT Information Library (ITIL) Foundations.

Angela also serves as a Director at Large for Northern Savings Credit Union and is currently serving as Vice Chair. Angela brings knowledge of project management and Information Technology to the Board. Angela also serves as the Vice Chair and Chair of the Governance, Ethics, and Human Resources (GEHR) Committee. She was formerly the Chair of the Audit & Operational Risk (AOR) Committee. Angela is actively involved in board governance and fiduciary oversight.

Angela is interested in this Central 1 Board of Directors opportunity to leverage her experience serving on the Northern Savings Credit Union Board, as well as her experience stewarding multi-year technology strategy and enterprise portfolio governance. Angela has deep familiarity with credit union regulatory environments and governance expectations and is excited to contribute her leadership capacity to support Central 1’s continued growth and success.
