Russ Voutour is currently Chief, Digital, Technology and Marketing Officer, at Your Neighbourhood Credit Union Limited (YNCU) where he oversees Infrastructure, Enterprise Services, Information Technology Governance, Innovation and Business Intelligence/Analytics. He joined YNCU in March 2021. Russ has worked in the financial services industry for 15 years, including various areas such as Digital, Analytics and Architecture.
Throughout his career, Russ has demonstrated the ability to understand the complexities of the financial services industry and apply technology to solve business challenges. He has played a key role in driving digital transformation at several leading financial service organizations. He has done so by leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing to streamline operations and create new digital distribution channels. Before joining YNCU, Russ was a member
of the founding team for Sonnet Insurance, Canada’s first digital direct insurance company and Head of Technology for TD Insurance.
Russ remains committed to provided strategic governance, constructive support and collaboration across the organization to contribute to Central 1’s long term sustainability and value to clients. As a Board Director at Central 1, Russ has contributed to governance and oversight of payments, shared services evolution, operational resilience and the execution of large-scale transformation initiatives. Russ’ background and leadership experience in banking, technology risk, cybersecurity, data, AI and capital investment oversight provide him with a unique perspective on Central 1’s strategic plans and priorities that he hopes to leverage for a future term on the Central 1 Board of Directors.
